If the DAP What I was trying to say is simply that I was against any segregation. IMHO you cannot forbid someone to join a fidonet echo just because he is not a subscriber to a commercial service. A few years ago, at the University, I attended a meeting where OS/2 1.0 was launched in Belgium. The developer's kit was something like 5000 U$. Too much for a student. At the time IBM was segragating by income... MicroSoft was giving away Windows 1 toolkits. This is, I am sure, why most dvpt work went into Windows at that time....
