As near as I can tell, the first two bytes are not used.  The 3rd and 4th 
bytes are the product type as shown in I7, the 5th byte is a bitmap of the 
modem capability (1 for HST, 2 for Fax, 4 for V.32terbo, 8 for VFC/V.34 and 
16 for x2/V.90) and the 6th byte is the country code.
