Mulling over LEE LOFASO to STEVE ASHER 06 Mar 2005

G'day Lee...

SA>My Bible refers to a time when people will say "peace"
SA>and "safety", but the result will be sudden destruction,
SA>as described in 1 Thessalonians 5, and elsewhere.

LL> What is the origin of evil? I mean, Lucifer was not always a
LL> devil. Once upon a time, Lucifer was an angel of light.

He was, but rebelled, and uses light or enlightenment in his program
of deception - for those who think that is off-topic (and the moderator
won't rule that way), try a search on (eg) "points of light" etc.

LL> So where did his evil begin? Lucifer was the most beautiful of
LL> angels, and was a leader among angels. But his conceipt was the
LL> start of evil, which led to an all out war in heaven. Naturally,
LL> Lucifer was the leader of that war. Most of the angels joined
LL> with Lucifer in that rebellion, with very few, if any, opposing
LL> him. But Lucifer was not the victor, getting himself and
LL> one-third of the angels getting the boot.

LL> Anyway, could it be that our own conceipt is blinding us, just as
LL> it blinded Lucifer and the angels, as to what is really happening?

 LL> Think about it.

LL> Osama bin Laden is the personification of evil. Bush43 is the son
LL> of the devil himself, Bush41. Even the name George W. Bush adds up
LL> to 666. Osama bin Laden is seen as a saint and a hero by his
LL> followers. George W. Bush is seen as Leader of the Free World and
LL> a man of destiny, receiving incredible support from his followers.
LL> Both Osama bin Laden and George W. Bush are fighting evil in the
 LL> name of God.

Both are purporting to fight evil in the name of God. According to Bush,
the God of Islam is the same as the God of the Bible. The God of the Bible
might have a different view, for his word says: "For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should
not perish, but have everlasting life". The "God" of Islam,
on the other
hand, says: "... Allah is but one God. Allah forbid that He should have a
son!" (Sura 4:171)

Cheers, Steve..
