I would agree with you that the Bathurst Inlet road may be a bit of a pipe
dream although one might think that increased mining activity might have an
impact on that. As for paving the road from High Level, I note that it was
still unpaved in 1988 and is now down to the 40 miles just west of
Yellowknife and I thought that this stretch was to be dealt with this year.
I don't think I'd ever heard of the road to Fort McMurray but could that be
tied into the gas pipeline?
