Some files are in DOS text file format, and GNU Make and need to be
converted to UNIX text file format (stripping carriage returns) to keep GNU
Make and GNU C happy.  Sorry about that.  I'll probably fix this in 1.7.

To compile XMSGAPI 1.6 in UNIX:

cd xmsgapi/unix/gnu-c
tr -d '\r'  makefile.new
mv makefile.new makefile
make

To compile timEd 1.11.a4 in UNIX:

cd ../../../timed
tr -d '\r'  makefile.new
mv makefile.new makefile
tr -d '\r'  tstruct.h.new
mv tstruct.h.new tstruct.h
make
