DH>Roger,
DH>I got a message from someone in Florida, telling me that he
DH>nor his readers
DH>can see the messages which I have toggled Private. He asked
DH>whether that
DH>was what I intended or if I would like to have the Private
DH>flag stripped.
DH>After I sent him a message stating I was working behind the
DH>scenes for my
DH>conference, etc., I got another message, asking me (among
DH>other things)
DH>"what was [my] point?"
DH>I have indicated to him that I would see about setting up the
DH>interview,
DH>which I revealed to him was one of the things I am doing, via
DH>Internet.
DH>Also, I told him I hoped this answered his concerns.
DH>My Internet address is: don.herman@rook.wa.com If you have
DH>an Internet
DH>address, it might be better if we do the interview that way.
DH>But, please
DH>notice I also toggled this message Private. That, I think,
DH>is what the
DH>little box is for on my off-line reader program, so I can do
DH>that, huh?
DH>The guy also suggested Netmail for direct communication. I
DH>suppose we
DH>could do that, if you feel like it. I really don't care but
DH>suppose I
DH>have to respect the BBS system and some ...oh, what's the
DH>word I want?
DH>Anyway I don't have my FidoNet address on me. Haven't used
DH>it yet. But
DH>I can get it off the BBS if we need to.
DH>What do you think?
I will send you a test message at your internet address. Although I only
work through Fidonet, I am told that I can send and receive via an internet
interface. Nothing like testing reality! Sorry it is taking me so long to
respond to the questions, but I am trying to deal with two problems. One, I
am proceeding pro se in my civil suits, so I have to do the work myself.
Two, I do not know how to fully use the upload and download utilities on the
offline reader I use. I have not been able to find an instruction book in
any of the stores.
