subject: Problem with Connects

Hi Patrick,

I've got a 288i and am using the 1.440-12 ROM code (flasher worked fine).
I run a single line BBS using D'Bridge front-end mailer, since the 1.440-XX
flashers I've experienced a strange problem with my SupraFaxModem and DB, on
a somewhat regular basis now (at least daily) incoming calls will not
register a connect speed I'll just get CONNECT" and nothing else. At first
I thought it may have been a 300 baud caller, but I had someone with a 28.8
and 14.4 try it with the same results. Just today the modem would only
report NO CARRIER msgs until I reset the computer (this had gone on for 4
hours while I was at work) once reset it worked fine. Here are my settings:

Any ideas why it would fall back to either just the NO CARRIER statement or
the CONNECT without a speed associated with it? It is extremely frustrating
as it is costing me callers. Now I have ordered my factory upgrade on my
288i and understand it will be shipped on the 10th, but I'd still like to
solve this problem. Any help would be appreciated.
