SyncTERM doesn't yet support UTF-8, but sbbs will convert to CP437 if it can
(and in those example letters, there were CP437 equivalents it could translate
to).
Also looks like maybe you need to update your webv4 files from github. Those
characters render fine at http://web.synchro.net using the latest ec webv4.
