NP> I figured out why it runs the BAT first on my machine. (got NP> caught the other day) If they are in different directories, and NP> a directory is not specified in the command, it depends on the NP> directory order in the path. As my path is NP> SET RAM=L:\ NP> PATH %RAM%;%RAM%BAT; etc NP> it always finds the BAT first. :-( It should still be okay, the way Roy does it. He changes the directory first, so it should look in that directory and find the EXE before the BAT. NP> BTW. The SET RAM= statement means that the same batch files NP> will run on different machines, and I don't have to alter my NP> BAT's if I move the Ramdrive on any machine. Yair... that's a good idea. The ramdrive is a real nuisance when you change the hard drive or add a CD, and the letter changes! Do you put the SET RAM= before the ramdriver is loaded, or can it go anywhere?
