I am perfectly happy for you to run an echo of that nature on your BBS, but I won't bother joining it. There is already OS2PROG as an 'open to all'. I imagine that most DAP members would continue to read it too. However, DAP membership is a specific group of people, with specific topics of common relevance. I can see no reason why there should not be an echo on *MY* BBS specific to this group. Others MAY wish to do this too. I would love to know how you can improve the quality of postings in any echo, but I won't be holding my breath. Being able to choose echos of restricted coverage means that people with limited time at their disposal can concentrate on the subjects that are of most interest to them. You are under no obligation to read the DAP echo. If the DAP program is not useful to you, then the echo probably won't be, but, OTOH, it might be a place where you can explain why the DAP prgram is no use to you, with the (remote) chance that the DAP program might be altered to benefit you more. OTOH, you might be a biggoted moron with a narrow mind committed to flaming people with good intentions, and no intrinsic merit whatever. If so, please try to benefit mankind by expalining to feminists that 'women only' functions are rabidly sexist and grossly offensive to men. I don't have the strength :-) Happy netting Andrew ... I'd much rather have an easy one. --- Blue Wave/Max v2.12 OS/2 [NR]* Origin: Me/2 (2:254/259) SEEN-BY: 105/42 620/243 711/401 409 410 413 430 807 808 809 934 955 712/407 SEEN-BY: 712/515 628 704 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 254/259 1 255/1 440/4 141/209 270/101 105/103 42 712/515 711/808 809 @PATH: 711/934 |
