That's a given.  Microsoft backed off the Vista clampdown temporarily.
However, now the world knows the direction in which Microsoft is moving.
With the Vista clampdown, Microsoft turned the thumbscrews a mite too
quickly.  Future clampdowns will be slower, more subtle, and more
deliberate.

Just look how far Microsoft has turned the screws since Windows Prod cut
Deactivation was released five years ago. The trend is not going to
change...
