Hi, Paul. PE> PE> Frank, someone's stealing my PDP! I just got a chess statement today, PE> and PE> PE> I'm down to 14900 shares! I have no record of you selling any more. PE> WHAT PE> PE> THE FUCK IS HAPPENING?! BFN. Paul. PE> FM> I started looking into this and it doesn't make sense. Have you got PE> FM> statements, BT or CHESS, which actually show movements? ie PE> transactions? PE> Not that I've seen. I'll see if I can dredge up some older ones. Let me know if you do. It shouldn't make any difference for CHESS because the way they do it is to repeat all transactions until the page is full - ie you get page 1 issue (?) 1, page 1 issue (2)... until page 1 is full, then you get page 2 issue 1 etc. But even that doesn't always work, some of my clients (including one of my accounts!) got a brand new start from the top of page 1 (the # of shares was right though) for no reason that I can find out. An accompanying message said "ask your broker" - who do *I* ask? :-) PE> FM> ie, here is an opening balance, here is xxxx shares removed, here is a PE> FM> closing balance? Or just a single number which keeps changing? PE> A single number which "keeps changing". But I wasn't really worried about PE> the first number, which was 17100, because I was expecting that. What I PE> wasn't expecting was a share certificate for 400 shares in the mail, and PE> what I also wasn't expecting was a CHESS statement that listed me as having PE> 14900 shares. Yes, that's the mystery. PE> FM> If the statements show transactions what are the dates and any PE> FM> explanatory (obfuscatory?) codes? PE> Remember that the 400 shares I got as a certificate, won't appear on either PE> BT or Chess, since they are neither certificated nor lodged with BT. Sure, that's OK. After I sort out the other mess send the cert. in and I'll "CHESS" them. PE> I was selling those PDP around the same time as getting transferred to PE> Chess. Maybe that screwed them up? BFN. Paul. Almost certainly that's what caused the 400. I'll get back on to this next week. Oh, do you have a client reference number for BT? I may have it at work, but just to be sure. Something like EDWARP 12345 6 Regards, fIM. * * Most gods have the manners and morals of a spoiled child. @EOT: ---* Origin: Pedants Inc. (3:711/934.24) SEEN-BY: 711/934 712/610 @PATH: 711/934 |
