*v2=0,1,2 all have the same effect, eventual lockup. *v2=3 works fine
(except 56k/x2 connection) and *v2=5 is only for PPP connections. (I'm using
SLIP)

Yep, downloaded the v90 code off their web page and installed it before my
ISDN line was installed. (maybe I should go back to the old code?)
