Thanks Frank, that was too many cockups to understand from the data I had. 
I'll send my share certificate (400) in ASAP.  Probably they failed to
certificate one because they thought it was needed for a trade, not
realising that they had already sent one in.  At the time of sending in my
CHESS stuff, I was wondering whether I should wait or not, but I was keen
to see my stuff on CHESS ASAP in case we got some decent PDP trading going.
 Looks like my 2nd PDP sell is within inches of being hit.  BFN.  Paul.

P.S. If it's of any use, I actually recorded the date + certificate number
of every share certificate I was issued (before giving it to BT).
