RD> At what cost to the nation?
GD> Zero!
I guess you think the banks won't pass on the billion dollar upgrade costs to
us?
GD> Not at all. I run a Maximus BBS myself and am greatful to people like
GD> Scott for providing such programs without charging for them. This
GD> doesn't mean that it can't be a better product. You seem to take ALL
GD> criticism as negative. It's NOT! I like to see Maximus survive, but if
GD> Scott and loyalists like yourself are so sensitive about improvements,
GD> I'm not so sure it will... :(
Perhaps I misread, but your first post sounded much more like a complaint
than a suggestion.
GD> So by your own admission, you're really not a year 2000 expert, then?
Nope, just a year 2000 victim.
GD> Not that it really matters to this discussion, but let me guess... zero.
How about hundreds to thousands. I have incompatible BIOS and my vendor is
out of business, so by the end of 1999 I will need at minimum, one
motherboard, and at maxmimum, two complete systems.
