Hi Bob

FM> One more reason - some early viruses tried to kill COMMAND.COM

 BL> What's COMSPEC?

A useful trick for floppy-only network workstations. They read

command.com from the floppy, log on to the network, then set

Comspec to a copy of command.com on the fileserver, so a floppy

read is no longer needed every time the command processor is

reread.

Cheers
