Once you wrote to Barry Block:
 CH> The _keyboard_ is port $60
 CH> The _8042 keyboard controller_ is port $64
   You're not quite right. Both of these ports are 8042's. The CPU 
communicates with the keyboard exclusively thru 8042 on ATs.
 CH> Which one you write to depends on what keyboard-related function you
 CH> want... for example, you access port 60 to control the K/B LED's, repeat
 CH> rates, etc
   8042 just passes those bytes down to keyboard's internal 8048 (thru the 
serial cable).
 CH>  whilst you access port 64 to control A20, reset, PS/2 mouse etc.
   Some of the commands written to port 64h has parameter byte which is 
written to _port_60h_.
