Hello Cindy.
28 Oct 06 08:08, you wrote to me:
This is a rather long message and I will omit that which I am not
responding to.

Sorry for the rather brief reply but I have been sick lately and haven't
been able to tend to the computres here.
I normally don't have much time for double standards. There IMHO should
be one set of rules that are applied to all.

People do like to play their games, huh? Sometimes it can be amusing
to watch others play their games and push each others buttons. Although
I wouldn't miss it at all if chose to grow tired of it and stop.

I decided early on to give people the benefit of the doubt and to
trust them until they indicate by action or word that such trust is not
warrented. The people that get me are those that have a narrow view of
what they think as right and refuse to listen or even consider that
there may be alternatives that may be better. But that doesn't mean that
that will deter me from continuing to try communicate with them.

CH> they don't DO it and to top it off: deny not doing it! OH my! :)
I think it boils down to consistency. As an example, what I thought
was wrong ten years ago today I still think is wrong and I suspect that
in another ten years that will not have changed. Now opinions are another
matter. I may have any number of opinions. Not all of them may be right.
But I think what is important is whether I am willing to listen to other
peoples opinions and ideas and use them to modify my opinion if nessesary.

I think people(s) can often have the same attitude or belief but
express it in different ways. That way may appear different and people
will often not look deep enough to see that the underlying belief isn't
really that different after all.

Too newsworthy I guess. Bad news is so much more profitable and
entertaining to report than good news. Can you sense that I have a
rather dim view of a large percentage of the news media?

Tried Exlax but found Draino works much better.
