A creature called Denis Newkirk screamed at All:
DN> Hello All.
DN> I am really not impressed with the OS/2 IDE from Watcom C++,
DN> but does anyone know how to change the default editor from
DN> the OS/2 editor to something like Boxer when you choose a
DN> source to edit?
Two ways. You can either use the commandline compiler and use
makefiles, rather than the IDE, like I'm doing, or this. Edit a file
called \watcom\binp\idex.cfg. It looks like this:
--- Snip ---
IncludeFile ideos2.cfg
IncludeFile idewin.cfg
IncludeFile idedos.cfg
IncludeFile idenlm.cfg
IncludeFile ideads.cfg
IncludeFile idew32.cfg
Project
Editor "epmlink" DLL
Browse wbrg wbrw
Help ide.hlp

Help .c, wccerrs.hlp, 20000
Help .cpp, wpperrs.hlp, 20000
HostMask ????{at}
--- Snip ---
Change the line:
Editor "emplink" DLL
to:
Editor "C:\Tools\Box\B.EXE"
Or whatever editor you like. Of course, it might help to use a PM based editor...
