| subject: | Bush & `Higher Being` |
Hello Steve, SA>I wonder which "Higher Being" Bush is referring to who grants SA>"universal freedom" and uses Bush, the United States and its SA>allies and friends to "advance" it? SA>My Bible refers to a time when people will say "peace" SA>and "safety", but the result will be sudden destruction, SA>as described in 1 Thessalonians 5, and elsewhere. What is the origin of evil? I mean, Lucifer was not always a devil. Once upon a time, Lucifer was an angel of light. So where did his evil begin? Lucifer was the most beautiful of angels, and was a leader among angels. But his conceipt was the start of evil, which led to an all out war in heaven. Naturally, Lucifer was the leader of that war. Most of the angels joined with Lucifer in that rebellion, with very few, if any, opposing him. But Lucifer was not the victor, getting himself and one-third of the angels getting the boot. Anyway, could it be that our own conceipt is blinding us, just as it blinded Lucifer and the angels, as to what is really happening? Think about it. Osama bin Laden is the personification of evil. Bush43 is the son of the devil himself, Bush41. Even the name George W. Bush adds up to 666. Osama bin Laden is seen as a saint and a hero by his followers. George W. Bush is seen as Leader of the Free World and a man of destiny, receiving incredible support from his followers. Both Osama bin Laden and George W. Bush are fighting evil in the name of God. SA>=============================================================== SA>Bush Credits God, Not US, for Freedom Movement in Mideast SA>Barbara Ferguson, Arab News SA>WASHINGTON, 5 March 2005 - President Bush says he is not taking credit SA>for the freedom movement taking place in the Middle East. Nor is he SA>giving the credit to the US. President Bush says he credits God, not SA>his administration or America, for the spread of freedom there. Religion is a system of beliefs. However, fundamentalism is something far different. Unlike religion, fundamentalism is an attitude. It does not really matter if one is a Muslim fundamentalist, a Christian fundamentalist, or even a Jewish fundamentalist. It is still an attitude. And that is what makes fundamentalism dangerous. SA>The president said this as part of his weeklong campaign for Syria to SA>withdraw it troops from Lebanon, saying his administration wants an SA>immediate withdrawal. One way or another, Bush will convince the Syrians to leave Lebanon. SA>But his most forceful words came during a speech at Anne Arundel SA>Community College in Maryland where - encouraged by the fall of SA>Lebanon's pro-Syria government and other signs of democratization SA>throughout the Middle East - Bush made clear he is seeking to keep SA>up the pressure for change in the region. SA>"The world is speaking with one voice when it comes to making sure SA>that democracy has a chance to flourish in Lebanon and throughout SA>the greater Middle East," he said. "Freedom is on the march. It's SA>a profound period of time." Not too long ago it was said "The road to Damascus is through Baghdad." Now that phrase is becoming "The road to Damascus is through Beirut." SA>Then he brought God into the picture: "So I look forward to continuing SA>to work with friends and allies to advance freedom - not America's SA>freedom, but universal freedom, freedom granted by a Higher Being," SA>he said. Oh, my. After Lebanon and Syria, is Jordan next? And with Egypt running scared, it won't be long before Jerusalem is surrounded by the US Army. :) "Next year in Jerusalem!" - Ariel Sharon (New Resettlement Policy) "Next year in Jerusalem!" - Yasser Arafat (Late Palestinian Leader) "Next year in Jerusalem!" - George W.
