Hi All , hope you are having a nice day
I'm a bit late with this, but RL has this disturbing
tendency to really screw up ones plans. :/
Anyway the subject line pretty much has it covered.
With the success of the now silent Sputnik 40 (RS-17)
it goes to show that one doesn't necessarily a major
budget to put up a bird.
In that vein, there's no reason why we should have
bash our brains out with design software that isn't
made for that sort of thing.
Fortunately, one of the magazines I get is NASA Tech Briefs.
In the December '97 issue on pg.9 (vol. 21 No.12) is an ad
from a company called Analytical Graphics, Inc. and they are
offering a program called Satellite ToolKit 4.0 for *FREE*.
This is a permanent license. All that's required is to
download it from their website or to call for a cd-rom.
The program is for *nix or '95/NT.
With the competition from the LEO's and other industry,
we might as well use the same tools that they do and
give ourselves the best chance at keeping our bands open.
