Actually, not I haven't.  Just easier to run everthing on one box for me
instead of load balancing and spreading WINServer across my network that way.
Doing so would also require additional Windows licenses.

Hmm.  I seem to recall that this is not the case with pre-R2 versions of
Windows Server 2008 (32-bit), but I may be mistaken as it has been a while
since I ran that configuration.  But, I do seem to recall my doors working
then, too.

I think it depends on where you root door path is set up.  If you ARE intent
on running things this way, I would highly recommend running running your
doors from a network share that has the same drive letter mapped to it on all
computers that WINServer will be touching (so that wcOnline will still run the
doors no matter which computer it is running on).

At least in theory.
