ISDN is DIGITAL PHONE SYSTEM, so instead of sending weavy signals through
the phone line, you send pulses that represent zeros and ones... and a
ISDN line have three channels, two data channel (56KB to 64KB depending on
telco), and one control channel...
When connecting ISDN to computer, you don't use a MODEM, since you don't
need to MOdulate and DEModulate the signal, you need a TA (Terminal
Adaptor) instead... and best part of it is that the TA connects almost
instantly, no more "BEEP BEEP GARRRR WRISH"... :)
... Friends don't let friends buy RPI or WinModems!
