subject: Chips Common As Mobiles

Hey George, :-)

SA> Implanted Microchips Common As Cellphones Within A Decade
  >
GP> You can already be GPS-tracked with your cellphone!
  >
PS> I doubt it will be that soon but very possible in the future.

GP> The newer ones already have GPS capability built in,
GP> whether you like it or not!

I got the impression that Patrick may have been commenting on
the claim at the top about "implanted microchips common as cellphones
within a decade." And by implanted microchips, the author was
referring to implanted in humans. Some people think that chip
implants for humans will catch on as a form of security and
identification, much like chip implants are used for pets today.
Will chip implants for humans be as common as cellphones within
a decade? That remains to be seen. What are your thoughts?
What happens when the chip doesn't work?
