It was during the reading of a text-based configuration file and I was using strtok() to check for configuration verbs. Worked fine until it encountered a blank line read in with fgets(), which passed the string "\n" to the strtok() function. The delimiters passed were " \n". It worked fine up to that point in the configuration file. I've since tried hard coding the same thing into a test program and it functions flawlessly. Beats me...
