I've just cross-graded from BCOS2 v1.5 to CSET++ v2.1 last week, mainly
because I'd like to learn and program in SOM. After installed and tested
the compiler and tools, I just found out that CSET++ v2.1 contains only the
SOM v1.0 which is not CORBA compliant and already obsolete.
After some search on IBMLINK, I found out that there is a product called 
"SOMobject development toolkit" which provides upgrade to SOM v2.0. 
I called the consulting firm where I got my CSET++, and found out that
the lastest version of SOM Toolkit provide upgrade to SOM v2.1 and cost
AU$ 505, which is way beyond my initial budget.
  I just learn recently that CSET++ v3.0 will be out in June and contains
SOM v2.1 toolkit as well.
  For the mean time I'd like to find a cheaper upgrade to SOM v2.x for my
CSET++ v2.1. Does anybody know is there any way to do so. Any advice will
be highly appreciated.
