subject: KTFO: Boxing (DOS) issues

Hmm,

Well I'm stumped. I've tried the dos version in XP, Vista, Dos 6.22 and
OS/2 Warp 4 and haven't been able to reproduce the issues mentioned.

    For the following error (T.J):

>Make your selection: An unhandled exception occurred at $0000A6DE :
>EInOutError : Invalid filename
 > $0000A6DE
  >$0000AFBA
  >$0000C83D

I think this issue may be because the directory structure has not been
maintained when installed. This is the layout that the files should follow:

Main Dir
  > DATA
    > fnames.txt
    > lnames.txt
    > nnames.txt
    > settings.dat
    > boxing.dat
  > ANSI
    > *.pic
    > *.ans
  >boxing.exe
  >reg.key (if reg'd)
  >cwsdpmi.exe (dos ver)
  >sysop.doc

I was able to reproduce the above error by not having the data directory,
so that may be it. I will change my next version to include an install
file.

Meanwhile for Shawns issue, I have not been able to reproduce the issue
outlined (where you cannot train, fight etc..). When I logged into your BBS
I noticed that it had created a 39th boxer, which is 1 more then the limit.
That is probably the problem. Now the part I don't get is how in the heck I
am not able to reproduce the issue. Again I've tried it in XP, Vista, DOS
6.22, OS/2 Warp 4 and finally I ran it in DOSBOX to be sure and not a single
one created the issue. ARRRGGG!!

There is a slightly revised boxing.exe file you can grab from:

http://valley.darktech.org/files/boxing.exe

  Maybe it will help.

Thanks for the help guys!
