This they should do. Showing that they are healthy and growing
well. What more could any self respecting hobbyist want. Oh! yea, plants.
The only way to reduce this is to offer Alge flakes, but even then they
will likely snack on the plants. Suggest growingor buying plants for them to
eat. They sound beautiful. Do you know if you have one of each? Tinfoils
will breed in an aquarium of sufficient size with sufficient 'members' of the
opposite sex. With the smaller barbs it's best to have 2 or 3 males per
female.
> ... Rats! The cat got my mouse!
You know my CAT loves to play with the 'computer' mouse. I now have a
wireless one and guess where it usually ends up (especially if i'm not
careful about stashing it away). This is that cat that pees in the fish
tank btw... I have seen this cat go out of her way to pee in a fish tank.
Even covered and up high, even preggers, she will climb up to releve herself
in 'her' fish tank. I've tried to stop her but.. funny that fish tank has
some of the greatest growth of plants of any of my display tanks - I wonder
if there's some secret ingreedent in her urine?? Perhaps I could market it
..... B-)
I'd get rid of her but every 4 to 5 months she presents us with 4 to 8 little
babies - as she's a registered Siamese she has more then paid for herself-
... Wish my 'aquatic cats' were as easy to cultivate.
best wishes
