The current version is service pack 2. I'd advise picking up the
service pack on CD-ROM if you can - they charge US $14.95 for the
CD-ROM, but the service pack is 70 megabytes (no that's NOT a typo) so
it takes a LONG time to download.

Once you have things working reasonably well, you can open the core dump
in the debugger and use that to figure out what's going on.
