I don't know what to tell you Phil. Computer Shopper is both the best (at
some things) and the worst (at other things) publication on the market.
In my area, the best connect I ever got to my ISP was 26K4 at V.34(+), with
x2 I regularly get 48K, sometimes 53K333. True, I don't know where it goes
after the initial connect... but transfer speeds seem to live up to x2
promise.
