Not spectacular perhaps, but still an order of magnitude above V.34 when 
you're pulling large files across the internet. 49K beats 31K at least IMHO.

Don't know, my ISP is still x2 only.  Stories told in the echo seem to 
indicate that V.90 connect is more conservative so we may see lower connect 
speed reports.  We'll have to see as V.90 ISPs come online.
