KN> hey, what are you doing over in prog rock?
I heard it was slow over here, and I'm just trying to do my part to
 generate a little traffic.
 KN> Welcome home. :-)
 Thanks!

KN> I confess you caught me out, posting a copy of Gib I
KN> hadn't read first, however, hereby hangs a tale:
Oops. Did you read the ones that you posted in the same packet as your
reply? Seems there /are/ some Epitaph CDs available, albeit boots.

RM>> Wow, I've been listening to Epitaph for ages!

 KN> So have I, since about 1974.
 Yep, 'bout the same here.

KN> ..they had that guitar harmony thing down..
 They sure did!
KN> ..they *looked* like some sort of proto-gothic speed metal band.
 Heh. Yeah, I've seen pix!

RM>> I have only _Outside the Law_, but really enjoy it.

KA> I, too, only had that one album.
_OtL_ is still the only thing I've heard by Epitaph...

KA> I bought it in 74 from a delete bin, knowing nothing about them.
I first heard 'em on the radio, believe it or not.
KA> I ended up learning all the guitar licks on it..
 Cool!
KA> They seemd to have been some sort of a German band..
 Definitely German.
KA> ..with a Chicago (city, not band) connection.
Yep! I was living near Chicago at the time, when I heard "Outside the Law"
on the radio. Several people I knew ended up buying the album. Indeed, it
was a sort of minor cult classic in Chicago-land.
KA> I lost the LP back in 76 and have been trying to replace it ever
KA> since. I recall enjoying the album a lot.
You /didn't/ look at Gib 7/26 before you posted it, did you? Someone
said it's available on CD from NZ, as a boot. If you want actual vinyl, I
think I can get you one here in Memphis. A used-vinyl emporium I frequent
had TWO copies, last time I checked. Probably run $4 to $6.
KA> ..there was a thing back in the 70's that fed German bands into the
KA> Illinois/Wisconsin nexus. I remember hearing about a tour Guru Guru
KA> did of Wisconsin where supposedly they all ended up staying and buying
 KA> Harleys and becoming a mini-motorcycle gang..
Cool! Most Germans would feel right at home in Wisconsin, I imagine. After
all, beer and bratwurst are as esteemed there as in Germany!
 NP: Bloodless Pharoahs "Nowhere Fast"
Not too Prog, I'm afraid.. Sorry!
