| subject: | November Hobbes OS/2 `ROM wanted |
G'day Bill,
On 06-01-80 10:04, Bill Grimsley said to Jeff Green
BG> Yeah, even $29 is quite good, especially as the price for the
BG> Hobbes 'ROM in the States is US$25, which should translate to

Yeah, they must get a good deal on bulk buys to be able to offer them at
the prices they do.
JG>> I'm hoping that the latest version of Emacs is on it as the copy I
JG>> have at the moment seems to go a bit strange at times. It still
JG>> works, but it ignores some commands every now and then.
BG> I've had 3 Hobbes so far, and Emacs was on every one of them.
Good.
BG> Never unpacked it though, so I've no idea what it is or does.
BG> Compiles apps presumably, but as I'm not into programming, who
BG> cares. |-)
It's an editor with many bells & whistles. It's free and the more that
I use it the more I like it. Chews up a lot of disk space though.
