I'm not going to "yell", but I HAVE TO comment here. Puppy chow isn't
made for birds. The protein level is too high, the coating can make some
birds quite ill, and ANY dog food that has animal proteins included can
also carry some NASTY bacteria that can kill a bird. The fat can also
go rancid, creating yet another whole set of problems. Dog food really
is NOT a good thing to offer a bird--just too risky. If you get another
parrot, stick with parrot pellets--they're a lot more sterile, and lower
protein levels!
