Hello Glen!

29 Apr 95, Glen Knowles writes to Peter Fitzsimmons:

 GK> Why not use "hab = WinInitialize(0);" ? I've made a
number of vio apps

GK> call WinInitialize (like requiring that you be a pm program).

I guess that would be okay, but what about if someone were running a *very*
bare OS/2 system - just TSHELL and all the WPS/PM DLLs deleted. If they
had deleted PMWIN.DLL (the DLL that contains WinInitialize), they wouldn't
be able to run your VIO program.

I know that there aren't *that* many people who have a setup such as this,
but if you're writing a VIO program, why make it dependent on having the PM
DLLs installed?

bcnu,

Richard.
