Ok.....

BJ> What typeof error were you correcting? Did the max code (in the
BJ> message areas) also need a fix?

BS> Of some reason sizeof(XMSG) doesn't give the exact

Ah.... That would explain it..... Yes, sizeof() may not
work in all environments now..... :(

BS> But as I wrote I forgot to correct it in sqfix.

BJ> Sounds like found what need fixing in SqaFix.

 BS> ? it's sqfix not sq_a_fix.

  Appologies.... I misread the name....

BJ> If max didn't need a fix, because the code is shared with squish,
BJ> maybe we need to point sqafix to use the common code....

BS> I don't think there is more problems back in sqafix..
BS> Except for that it autocreates areas in UPPERCASE, and
BS> not lowercase.. I really can't find the problem.

Hmmmm.....

I just (finally) did a cvs update and got the latest version (24 hours old)
on my linux box..... I need to find where I burried my sample copy of
SqaFix.Cfg..... I know I was playing with case and type of file names
generaged by SqaFix..... Hmmmm... Ah... Yes, I *did* implement a
LOWERCASE option for some items..... Don't think I got that documented yet
in anything other than the code..... :( Part of the problem is my
LOWERCASE fix is only partially implemented. And the config file input is
a kludge at the moment.... Unfortunately, I got what I needed done and
didn't get all the cases fixed up.....

I have the following TWO newareapath lines, in order:

NewAreaPath /var/max/msg/max LOWERCASE
NewAreaPath /var/Max/msg/max HPFS

The first line sets a flag to lowercase file names (in the code options
that have been updated). The second line uses the HPFS path type
definitions.

My attempts to add a third parameter to the parsing of the NewAreaPath line
were getting complicated. So, this is only partitially implemented (and
tested) at this time..... I don't like having two NewAreaPath lines, so I
plan a change at some point in the future.... [You know my line, when I
have time.... ]

On another subject, I think I found why SqaFix was being compile when
compiling the max code. The main Makefile has now been updated in CVS to
version 1.8 to correct the error.

Take care.....
