0 CH> he needs to go vs one who drives or is driven in a BMW CH> might be percieved by his fellows as 'taking an oath of CH> poverty'. And as such these people might see the oath of CH> Buddhist monks as poverty too, but perhaps a bit extreme. bk> More likely just lives in New York city and a car is too much bk> trouble. OTOH, a priest normally does have to have a car because bk> he can't count on being called when it is convenient to the bus bk> schedual. He could ride a bike or motor scooter. CH> Sort of like how some folks see roughing it when they go CH> camping on foot (hiking) and not have any electronic CH> devices, or conveniences outside that which they need to CH> surive. (Oh say a pup tent, bedroll, cooking pot, matches, CH> first aid kit, waterproof clothing... a knife.. compass... CH> water... food..) hmmm. Another group might see 'roughing CH> it' as taking their fully stocked Winnebago on a camping CH> trip but forgoe the TV and laptop computer. bk> Nooo.... computer???? Noooo....... Fido???? How do you survive? You'd beo too busy to miss them that much! :) CH> common root, which is what peace MIGHT come out of given a CH> the 'light' and the nourishment' of reason we all ahve CH> potentail for... yeah.. but it's SO Much easier to just to CH> war. (That is the power people get it done for them.) bk> Besides, it's good for the economy. Waste sure seems to be good for...the economy. I just saw a product that is a plastic liner for a crock pot. Cook/serve/toss liner in trash. Tah dah! And there's recipe's that tell you to line the bowl with plastic so you don't have to wash it! Ugh. I'm glad I won't be around when the next generation has to deal with all this 'good for the economy. The wayt is going now. Man uses up natural resources creating waste faster than mother nature can convert waste into natural resources. BOUT OH well.. waste is good for the economy. Who cares bout mother nature right? Pfft. Just pass it on to the next generation. If there is one. Cindy ...
