I have a lot of Queen CDs...their early stuff (Queen, Queen II, Sheer Heart
Attack, & Night At The Opera) reminds me a lot of Syd Barrett (his solo work
& his Pink Floyd work). That's (IMHO) when Queen was their best (they had
their own Interstellar Overdrive in the form of Brighton Rock). I just wish
they would put out a box set that would include their songs from Smile,
Wreckage, and Larry Lurex (for some reason I like the Smile song "Step On Me"
and the Lurex song "Goin' Back"...did you know former Smile bassist Timothy
Staffel co-wrote "Doin' Alright" with Brian May on the Queen I album). Too
bad they never did a concept album like Tommy or The Wall (unless you count
Queen II a concept album since side one was called the "white" side and side
two was called the "black" side [since side one had the White Queen song and
side two had the March Of The Black Queen song]).
