MP>JK>That is because there is a difference in the results of varying
MP>JK>causes of what today is known as ADHD. Some are now insisting that
MP>JK>this is a manifestation of food allergies simply because some of
MP>JK>those affected have them.
MP>Jane, the idea that diet causes ADHD has been debunked for well over a
MP>decade. Remember the Foolsgold, oops, I meant Feingold, diet? No
MP>scientific study every showed that it works. In fact, in several of the
MP>studies, placebo worked better.
JK> Mark, one could do 10,000 studies on the wrong folks and not find a
JK> blessed thing. One has to do them on those who are affected directly
JK> by allergies in order to prove anything.
JK> Your opinion on this isn't shared by others including some who write
JK> to me.
People are still confusing what is true ADHD and not. A person with
allergies or psych. problems can have symptoms of ADHD. No one is
disputing that fact. The dispute is that it means if they have those
problems it IS NOT ADHD. TRUE ADHD is not affected by diet! Food
allergies are just that FOOD ALLERGIES! And behavioral problems are
just of symptom of that.
I sure wish some people would get that straight!!!!
