What worked great last year, many times, won't work at all this year.  
The fleas tend to, after several generations, get immune to certain chemical 
insecticides.  This is one of the reasons why we have so many commercial 
exterminators down here.  To try and keep up with the problem that the fleas, 
water bugs, and various other pests cause.
