GO SEE CABIN FEVER!!!!!! And DDP SINGS AT FARM AID!!!!!

First off, remember I told you that I had a few good things going but
I wasn't going to let you know until it was happening well ... one of
them is happening ... RIGHT NOW ... this weekend. It's a movie I
invested in early called " Cabin Fever ". It was actually my boys
Jamie Waldron and Jason Hervey who brought it to my attention a few
months ago. I had the opportunity to get in for not that much money
and with all the hype it looks like it may just pay off. " Cabin
Fever" has not only got a lot of hype going for it, it also is getting
not good ... but great reviews.

I first met Eli Roth who wrote, directed and is one of the producers a
few years back through Jason. He was a big fan and according to Jason
a very talented guy ... Obviously Jason was right. I am not counting
any of those eggs before they're hatched but, I have a good feeling
about this one. So help a starving actor out (ok so I'm not starving)
but still go see " Cabin Fever ". I would totally appreciate it.

So…ah…yes it's true (it's true!!) I did sing at Willie Nelson's " Farm
Aid ". Ok, I wasn't actually brought on stage to sing at the end of
the show ... I just sort of walked out as all the other performers
were one by one walking out. I figured what the hell, I had a pretty
good buzz going and so did everyone else…I might as well go for it ...
I mean when would I ever get the chance to do this again…singing with
Willie.

What a blast ... when I walked up behind (Darrius Rucker of "Hottie
and the Blowfish " and Ira Dean and Heidi NewField of " Trick Pony "
you should have seen their faces ... that alone was worth it... they
loved it. (Pictures on site) I thought Ira was going to piss his
pants. Maybe twenty minutes earlier we were all on Darrius's road bus
drinking strawberry moon shine (Good Gawd!) and singing our asses off.
The only person who was missing was Keith Burns who was probably off
with some hot honey somewhere.

Farm Aid was a great experience and I want to thank Ira for bringing
me out there. Before the show, after the press conference I met my new
favorite band ... (besides the Ponies of course ) a group called " Los
Lonely Boys ". When they saw me they popped huge, yes they were huge
wrestling fans. We took a couple of pictures and they asked me if I
would watch their set. I was so glad I did. No one even knew who these
guys were and they still rocked the house, Ira would tell them later
that they stole the show which is saying something coming from Ira.
Anyway, these kids Henry 25, JoJo 23 and Ringo 21 really made the
people react and that's not easy when you're an unknown. Keep and eye
on the " Los Lonely Boys ".

While at Farm Aid, Ira and I also got to hang with Dave Matthews,
(pictures on site) who was a helluva nice guy (I know my brother Colin
is dying right now), Willie ... who's just one of the coolest cats on
the planet and Willie's harmonica player Mickey Raphael and his wife
Heidi. Mickey (who's like the best harmonica player on the planet) and
his wife Heidi were cooler than the other side of the pillow.

One of the things that stands out about showing up at Farm Aid was the
expression on Darrius's face when he saw me walking across the back of
the stage area. All I heard was ... "PAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGEEEE YOU
S.O.B!!!" as he jumped on to my back. He actually scared the hell out
of me. As you might have guessed we both changed cell phones and lost
contact with each other about 6 months.

Kimberly and I have been good friends with Darrius for some time now.
I run into Darrius at the wildest times. For instance, first time I
meet him I was with "The Big Show" about 7 years ago. It was in
Charlotte, NC he was playing at a golf tourney and I had just gotten
done wrestling and was out for a beer. Back when I was wrestling I
never got to see " The Blowfish " perform because I was always on the
road. So any time he came through ATL, Kimberly always went with her
girlfriends and you know he hated that ... YEAH RIGHT!

The first time I actually got to see him play, Kimberly and I were in
Sydney, Aus. doing my first movie "First Daughter". Kimberly and I
were on our way to gym and we saw poster of the band and they were
playing that night. So we went by to surprise him ... he flipped when
he saw us that nite was a hell of a party ... and as you have already
read this nite was no different. "The Ponies " and " The
Blowfish "
got along incredibly ( party and singing on the bus ) and it looks
like Darrius is coming to our golf event " The Price Oil Golf Event
and maybe even "The Los Lonely Boys " ... which will be another killer
nite.

I've been so busy that even though I wrote an email to send out last
week, I never got a chance to send it. Here it is below…

I haven't spent much time in my new home in Hollywood CA. the last
month or so as you might have noticed, but some times you just have to
give back and " That's not a bad thing ... that's a good thing ".

I just got back home from another tour, this time I was on "MY" east
coast. I flew out of LA Saturday morning at around 9am and was on my
way to Buffalo NY, which I got to around 9pm. My brother from another
mother, Dennis DiPaolo, picked me up at the airport and we headed
straight to his restaurant named after his dad "Ilio DiPaolo's
Restaurant & Ringside Lounge". If you ever go to Buffalo don't miss
that eating experience, because that's exactly what it is. It's the
best damn Italian food you'll ever have outside of Roma, Italy.

Anyway, I first met Dennis back in 1996 right before WCW was about to
get hot. Back then we were playing to houses (the number of people who
attend a wrestling match) that were any where between a 1000 and 4000
people. Back then this was Dennis's first stab at following in his
father's footsteps, not as a wrestler but as a philanthropist. You
see, Dennis's dad ILIO was a wrestler in the northeastern wrestling
area, who was very famous in the 60s and 70s. When he retired he
opened his own family style Italian restaurant name after ... who else
himself.

The reason I bring any of this up is not because of the restaurant,
but because of the man. When I think of a true man of character ... I
think of ILIO DiPaolo. Unfortunately I never met the man, but I have
met hundreds and I mean literary hundreds of people who did.

I have to tell you from my first visit to Buffalo back in "96" I never
heard anyone talk about a man the way the people of Buffalo talked
about ILIO. It would be an experience I would never forget. While ILIO
wrestled and later while he was running his restaurant he was very
much involved in his community. He constantly gave back and was a huge
part of many charitable functions. I'm not BSing you when I tell you
the town of Buffalo looks on ILIO like he was some kind of saint.
Besides George Bailey (the character played by Jimmy Stewart in the
movie " It's a Wonderful " ... for the 2 or 3 people of you out there
who didn't know who George Bailey is), this could the most revered man
I've ever had the pleasure of getting know... through his friends.

On May 10, 1995, Ilio was stuck by a car and killed while crossing the
street. The town was devastated ... To keep his father's memory alive
Dennis started the "Legend's Reunion Wrestling Event" at the Buffalo
War Memorial Auditorium also know as the "Aud." (the old school famous
arena in Buffalo). All profits would go to The Ilio DiPaolo
Scholarship Fund, which supports Women & Children's Hospital of
Buffalo.

Like I said earlier, back in "96" the most people we were drawing to
an arena was about 4000 people. Well that night things were about to
change. I mean you could feel it in the air ... there was a definite
buzz happening that night in Buffalo. It was almost like ILIO himself
was booking the event. That night I was wrestling Eddy Guerrero (one
of the greatest wrestlers I've ever had the pleasure of being in the
square circle with) and we were the first match. I remember that night
like it was yesterday. Earlier in the evening about 3 hours before the
match all the bottom of the card wrestlers (that would be me at the
time) had to do a meet and greet.

A meet and greet is a way to get in direct touch with your fan base
(which WCW was really trying to build at the time). Well that was the
first time I heard the name " ILIO DiPaolo". Everyone in Buffalo was
so appreciative that we were there to support Ilio and his charity
that it was actually almost funny to me. I mean at the same time we
were so appreciative to the town of Buffalo that they were coming by
the thousands to see us perform.

That night I heard people talk about this man ILIO DiPaolo like he was
an angel sent from heaven. This was the beginning of my relationship
with the DiPaolo's and the town of Buffalo. I was the first match ...
Dennis was so nervous, running from one dressing room to another to
make sure all the boys (the wrestlers) were happy. I was sitting in my
locker room smoking one of my trade marked cigars when Dennis busted
in and said "DDP YOU READY YOUR ALMOST UP ... TONITE'S GOING TO BE A
GOOD NIGHT ... RIGHT? " I said " NO BRO ... IT'S GOING TO BE A GREAT
NIGHT ", he just smiled from ear to ear. That night we drew (or should
I say Dennis, Jim Kelly and their Buffalo bros drew ) a sellout crowd
.. over 16,000 people to the AUD. It was electric.

Over the next few years my relationship with Dennis DiPaolo, Jimmy
Kelly and all the bros of the city of Buffalo would only strengthen.
Three years after that first " Legends Reunion " I would return as the
"World Champion". Think about that ... from the first match on the
card to the Main Event ... only in America baby. It just goes to show
you if you have the right work ethic, the proper Centergy,
Sticktuitiveness, anything is possible.

So 3 years after that Main Event, I'm back again but this time as a
retired 3 time WORLD CHAMPION. I'm just here to do another meet and
greet sign autographs and take pictures. It all happened at the Bison
baseball park following their game. They would call it " Brawl at the
Ballpark " it was a great cross promotion and big success.

I got some great shots with the boys and babes back stage, which will
be on my site later this week. I raised a lot of extra cash for the
cause by taking pictures with the fans with the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
BELT; people really love wearing that belt.

Shout outs and thanks to Jeff Jarrett, Superfly Jimmy Snuka, Glen (aka
Disco), Kid Kash, A.J. Styles, the beautiful Trinity and the gorgeous
Tracy Sparks, Screaming Norman Smiley, Dave Penzer, Raven, and
everyone who made the event a success.

Right now I'm back in LA and getting ready to settle in to the work of
living the next dream. I have some really good things in the works
thanks to some very special people in my life right now, but I don't
want to jinx it yet so I'll let you know as it moves along.
