Hello Francois! 17 Apr 95, Francois Thunus writes to Richard Hulme: FT> [change dir at exit] RH>> Although this does make programs such 'LCD' a bit difficult to write RH>> (the only way I know to do it is in REXX), FT> How ? Ok, perhaps I didn't put that quite correctly. The only way I've *seen* it done is via REXX (probably even just a straight-forward command file would do) in association with an EXE file or a DLL. I think it has to be done by the user running the command file which in turn runs the executable (or loads the DLL). The executable then finds the right directory to change into and returns the name somehow. Probably the easiest way is to create another .CMD file in your temporary directory (specified by the TMP or TEMP environment variable), CALL this from your original command file and then delete the it. I suppose you could pass the directory name back using named pipes, but I don't know how easy it is to use named pipes under REXX. Hope this helps. bcnu, Richard. --- GoldED 2.40* Origin: Floating Point/2 (2:250/109.10) SEEN-BY: 105/42 620/243 711/401 409 410 413 430 807 808 809 934 955 712/407 SEEN-BY: 712/515 628 704 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 250/109 25/10 250/107 255/1 440/4 141/209 270/101 105/103 42 712/515 @PATH: 711/808 809 934 |
