It depends on exactly which Cascade exactly you're talking about. You
at first mentioned "the first Cascade". Originally, Cascade was a
trojan horse not a virus, so it did NOT replicate. Someone changed the
code around 1987 to make it a memory resident .COM file infector. Most
variants *WILL* replicate, causing .COM file growth by about 1700 bytes.
However, many variants will *NOT* infect any files on a "true" IBM pc
(made by IBM).
