Well, I've not owned a Mopar in many years, but I did own a 53 Dodge with the 
Red Ram hemi in it...a two barrel carb with an electric choke that didn't 
work...drove it (N. Illinois) all winter in 1961 that way...you know as well 
as  I do that it gets damn cold in Iowa and Illinois along about January.  
That Dodge would start at any temperature, even 32 below zero. It's only 
problem was the fluid coupling clutch was froze up all the time...had to sit 
and let it defrost before I could use the clutch...
BTW, that little 232 CI hemi could just barely keep up with a 265 Chevy, but 
never pass it. Same with the Fords of the day.
