I have heard of this happening, however I think I would prefer to make a
different offer: "Here's $5.00... sell ME that radio - WITH a receipt - or
get your name blasted all over the airwaves AND you get reported to the
local OO and the FCC."  I can't afford the $500 radio I want, (disabled
and on Social INsecurity), and I figure I could kill two birds with one
stone: The area gets rid of a major pest, who learns a lesson, and I get
a good radio, with a receipt so that he/she/it can't say I stole it.
That sure beats the destruction of a perfectly good radio that COULD be
used LEGALLY!  (And you can bet I would engrave my call all over it,
inside and out!)

Of course!  After all, they are like politicians and CBers: The law
