It happens here, too.  A month or so ago some slimeballs stole the copper
sheathing off a cupola that had been saved when the building that was under
it was demolished.  The cupola was to have been used in some sort of memorial.
The local news has also noted cases where an empty building has had the copper
plumbing, and sometimes the wirinng, totally stripped out.
