-> > Riding a motorcycle was hit by a vehicle operated in an -> > insanely wreckless and illegal manner. -> Motorcycle accidents hu... Were you active on bikes (street/dirt) before you -> got hurt? Never rode a dirt bike. First accident with wreckless civil servant I was riding a Suzuki GS-550CN inline four. Second a Yamaha XS-1100 Special inline four. That was one wicked bike with 120 H.P. at the rear wheel. I was in the process of detuning it at the time the 16 year old hit me. I was going down one size in the carb jets and going to replace the 4 into 1 tuned exhast pipes for the stock 2 into one for greater right hand cornering clearance. -> I was both street bikes and dirt bikes, and jet skies, and everything else, -> skiing out of bounds etc... and I don't regret any of it. :) And you know what -> Wayne, I got hurt on a street bike. Missed a corner at low speed, then hit the -> curb and flew over the handle bars. Never gone down from a curb but due to sand a few times. Spun around a few times on rain 360 on wet roads and once on ice, that's a real thrill -> > previously had 17 years riding without major -> > incident. Neither was my fault. -> Me too 15+ years of riding. I had 21 years total including riding after the first spinal break because a bike was all I could afford while attending Voc Rehab funded computer programming job retraining on SSDI. That girl hit me less than a block from home :-( -> > If I had a couple of hundred grand I could try some -> 6 Million dollar man! Ha! Yeah, it'd be along the lines of artificial discs and spinal fusion. -> > Perhaps when I've fallen face forward a few more times -> > breaking my fall with my face a few more times. -> Sh**... I hate that... it hurts! Not so bad but you're self conscious walking the dog bleeding down your face. The thick mustache saved the top lip and teeth though it felt like it'd been torn up. Like a wire brush pulled hard across. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
