Hi Steve,
SB> I think what you have is an evaluation copy.
No! One of the great things about PC PLUS magazine in the UK is it's
pparant
relationship with Borland. It consistantly (and uniquely) publishes full
product software. I've still got the disk from the February 92 issue which
contained the full DOS Sidekick v1.58a (Every other magazine had published
he
v2.0 Demo within the previous 6 months). More recently PC PLUS published
Paradox 4.5 (after v5.0 had been published). Since they did Delphi v1.0 (just
before v3.0 hit the streets) they have released the full C++ v4.5 (with
upgrade
offers to v5.0 and Builder)
Of course other magazines did publish Delphi Lite a while back, but with that
you couldn't create stand alone programs.
SB> In any case, Delphi 2 & 3 come with Delphi 1 so that you can develop for
SB> Win 3.x.
But only if you have Win95... and I don't!
SB> I'd recommend purchasing Delphi 3 and getting some good 3rd party books
SB> to supplement them.
You forget to mention a new operating system and highly expensive new
ardware
to go with it. I think I'll give Delphi 3 a miss! :-)
