BILL SWARTZ wrote something original about REXX for Pointers

Oh! I must have answered this question in my sleep.

Some OS/2 users are using the InfoZip zip and unzip, while others are
happy with PKzip and PKunzip. The unzip part might be slightly
different for the two, so your routine might have to either search for
them (with sysfiletree) or ask the user (with say and pull or linein).

As for the choosing of the pointers, you might look for Melissa Woo's
Stupid OS/2 Tricks, fifth edition (tricks5.zip), which is a collection
of handy information about OS/2 in the online *.inf format and also
some REXX scripts, including one that would change pointers for OS/2
2.1 I suspect that the trick will work with Warp, but that there may
be an easier way to do what you want.-- not that I have any big idea of
what that easier idea would be.
