Yo - SCANRADIO gang!
This is likely to be my last or one of my last posts on this echo, and I 
wanted to take an opportunity to say good bye to all my friends, 
acquaintences, neighbors, and adversaries........
I discussed part of the deal in past messages where the cost of running a 
FidoNet node is pretty high in terms of system resources, personal 
ommitment,
money, and time.  Fido software is grossly inefficient; not fun to use; and 
it's really a pig for computer resources.  But that turns out to be only a 
part of the deal.  There was a recent surprise.........
Seems I have to move......lost the lease on my home and shop of nine years 
when the Owners wanted the property back for their own use.  They gave us 
30-days to shit and git.  So we're 'gitting'.
Once I get moved and setup again, it makes little sense to reconnect to 
FidoNet when I could use the machine to greater advantage for other things.  
Soooo, I will be pulling the plug sometime this week and that will be that.  
I'll be gone......but not out.

The cts.com FTP site will not really grow to speak of, but the one with the 
"numbers" will be a lot more like my old BBS in due time.
I will continue to occasionally post to the scanner newsgroups on the 
Internet, and I will continue to publish the monthly WORLD SCANNER REPORT 
scanner modification/technology newsletter.  I will also continue to write my 
monthly "Experimenter's Workshop" column in MONITORING TIMES magazine
Well, it's been good.....but all good things have to end in order to make way 
for better things.  And they are getting better. So that's it for now.  
Except that I want to THANK all those of you who have supported and stood by 
me over the years.  It was YOU guys who made it all worthwhile.
